Where is the thermostat in a 1996 Chrysler Cirrus and is it easy to change?

Car is overheating. Just had water pump replaced.Where is the thermostat in a 1996 Chrysler Cirrus and is it easy to change? The best way I know to explain it is to tell you that when you open the hood, you can see the radiator cap on top of the engine, which is where the upper hose goes to.

If it's got the 2.0, or 2.4 liter engine in it (4 cylinder), then the thermostat is under that housing. Easy to replace.

If it's got the 2.5 liter 6 cylinder, then that is NOT where the thermostat is, it is in the housing that your lower radiator hose connects to. Not as easy to replace.Where is the thermostat in a 1996 Chrysler Cirrus and is it easy to change?thermostat is located by the lower radiator hose that go to the engine.
