Why is my 97 chrysler concorde coolant boil over and running hot i change the thermostat, and there no leaks?

Make sure your fans run. And is it a 3.3 engine or a 3.5. Did it melt the reservoir. It can also be as simple as a radiator cap not holding pressure. They need to hold 16 lbs. of pressure so the coolant won't boil, if its not holding pressure it will boil over. Why is my 97 chrysler concorde coolant boil over and running hot i change the thermostat, and there no leaks?its the radiator cap i got the same car and was told the same dont listen i put a lot of money in mine and it was that cap

Why is my 97 chrysler concorde coolant boil over and running hot i change the thermostat, and there no leaks?poss. a blown head gasket, filthy radiatorWhy is my 97 chrysler concorde coolant boil over and running hot i change the thermostat, and there no leaks?Well it sounds like you have a blown head gasket.

The gasket is blown in a way that the exhaust gas is getting into the water jacket and supper heating the water. Try this.

Fill the radiator up to the top. Leave off the cap and crank the car. If water comes shooting out of the radiator like a fountain it is blown.

If nothing happens try this.

Remove all the plugs and crank the car. When cranking look for water shooting out of the spark plug holes.

In either case the head gasket is blown.
