Either drain the radiator in a plastic pail or siphon off the contents of the radiator with a piece of inexpensive small diameter hardware-store vinyl hose. Remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing. Remove the small capscrews or bolts from the aluminum thermostat housing. It may be necessary to %26quot;tunk%26quot; the housing with a rubber hammer or pry it off with a screwdriver. If your thermostat gasket is just an O ring it pays to lubricate it with silicone ignition grease before bolting the housing back on. If It's a gasket, wipe both sides with Prematex Blue Silicone Gasket maker before bolting the housing back in place. Remenber that the thermostat goes back in with the spring end pointing down.
