Drain water, remove the hose, remove the thermostat, scrape off old seal, replace seal and thermostat, and place hose back on it. pretty much the same way you would do it on any other vehicle. How do you change the radiator thermostat on a 1995 Buick Rivera?Drain some of the coolant so it will be below the level of where you will be working. Follow the top hose from the radiator to the engine. Remove the two bolts (sometimes three) bolts holding in the housing, remove the bad thermostat. Clean the mating surfaces, insert the new thermostat making sure the gasket is in the right place. Put the bolts back in and tighten, add coolant to the full line, check for leaks.
