More specifically on a Scoda Octavia. How do you change the car thermostat? You'll have something called a thermostat housing, typically held in by two bolts, that one of the large cooling lines to your radiator connects.

Remove the two bolts, pull the housing off, pull the old thermostat out, and replace it with the new one (making sure it's facing the right way).
